The original tires on my truck were Continentals. They were good for ~45K miles but the traction was horrible at the end. The second were Firestones - and they were shot, about bald, at 40 K miles. I went the optional size, 275/70x18, Michelin Defenders for added capacity and hoped for better wear. At 40K they are at 9 and 11 32nds from the original 13.5 32nds. They shold last one more year. I'm happy. I did put Kumhos on the last truck and they too worked out well vs the OEM Continentals - but not quite in the same league as the Michelins.
I'm not a lover of AT tires. Most are noisy and they do hurt fuel mileage plus my off roading these days is a CG dirt or gravel road
