I use Easy Thumbnails software that is a free download at www.fookes.com. I don't know how it works but it is simple, keeps the sharpness of the picture and I can reduce a 2mb drawing to 20k in about a minute or less. You can adjust the size in a preview window before saving. Hope this helps,
