I can tell the fifth wheel prep kit is really new because they don't have any hitches that directly use the hole pattern that RAM created. It looks like the Reese 30154 adapter attaches to the prep kit holes, and apparently the hitch holes in the adapter kit are some defacto standard. At the link below you can see the features, but the important ones are:

Use with RAM OEM under-bed rail kit
The robust Reese adapter will not touch or scratch the truck bed
Works with any 15K, 16K, or 20K standard fifth wheel hitch
Uses the fast and secure Reese® patented latching system
