We've done I-70 through Colorado a couple of times. Once with a Ford 6.0L diesel, once with a Ford V10 gasser, and once with a Dodge Cummins diesel. All did fine. The gasser was running hard when we reached the summit at Eisenhower tunnel but did fine. The Ford was running 3800 rpm at that summit but did fine, the Dodge was running around 2100 rpm and did great.

You don't say what your tow vehicle is so I included all three we've used to tow on that route, for your information. My suggestion is to just take your time and enjoy the beautiful scenery on that route.
