The top of my one slide was curling up also.I just noticed it this weekend when winterizing.I cut off the curled up part,cleaned up the area,and put down about a 3 foot strip of Eternabond Tape.As far as caulking goes I would be worried about the caulk getting on the slide out seals wwhen retracting or extending.None of my slide out roofs have caulk on them.
