Nice to see you can find spots without a reservation. We did a road trip with our kids, when I was recuperating from a shoulder surgery. We did 20 states in 21 days, and out of all of it we made only 3 reservations. I think the most fun is not knowing where you'll end up. To this date, that was one of the best trips of a lifetime.
