I have had my 15 F250 SB and I never had a slider. I have been to more than 50 different cities across the country and Never needed a slider. I have the B&W companion hitch in my truck. There is lots of adjustments built into the B&W. It may be heavy but not as heavy as a slider Its a much nicer looking hitch than most of the rest. I still have the stock pin box on my 03 3280RL
