Having the batteries on the charger the previous day does not necessarily mean they remained or even attained a full charge. If you have two 12V batteries in parallel one bad battery can pull down a good one. If you have two 6V batteries in Series then one or both of the 6V batteries may not be holding full charge. Full charge should be well over 12 V or 6V unloaded. Checking what the voltage does, at the battery, under load would be my first check. If any battery drops below 12V in parallel or 6V in series under load you have a bad battery.
