There could be many differences between our models but perhaps this will help. My shower drain is connected to a HepVO device (https://hepvo.com/). This device replaces the typical P-trap. The HepVO uses compression fittings on both ends. If the HepVO has been removed and reinstalled, it is possible that one of the compression rings fell off and the joint is not sealed. Happened to me once and I had to remove the wall between the convenience bay and the pass-thru storage to retrieve the ring.
