It looks like all has been said on the subject. One thing to do is google gun laws for the state you are going to travel in and you will get a pretty good account of their gun laws. One thing I suggest is, don't have a obumper stickers about your politics, clubs you belong to, like NRA, etc. I don't have any stickers on my vehicles. I have heard stories of prejudiced law enforcement people looking for a reason to stop anyone they may not agree with. Most law enforcement people are fair and business like. But there are exceptions. Don't have anything that indicates, a gun lives here.
