I left a half bag of ice in our freezer last summer when I put it in storage. We planned to leave again in a couple weeks and storage has power so no problem, right? Our trip was delayed, they lost power apparently for quite a while, ice melted, then when power was restored, it all froze in the bottom. Took a while to melt it and get it all out.
Lesson learned. Don't leave a bag of ice in the fridge even if you think you will have power available.
