Thomas, we had that problem of the snap not holding when ours was brand new. Our dealer simply moved the snap around the corner and used a longer plastic strap to reach it. In almost three years that door has not once popped the snap again. The new location causes the forces for the door trying to open to pull sideways on the snap and it won't come off that way.
