Other models may be different, but we are pleased that on our 2955RL there is a "lock pin" on the sliding door for use while traveling. That is the one between the bedroom and bath--the one we will insist on having even if we have to look elsewhere than Montana for our next RV. Have never had any trouble with the other sliding door (between living room and upstairs).
