We have been to Yellowstone/Teton quite a few times and have done a mix of dry camping and resorts to cut down on the driving. We stayed just outside of the Northeast gate in forest service campgrounds. This gives a great advantage in prime animal viewing times for the Lamar and Hayden valleys. We have had our best luck in the evening in these areas for seeing wolves, bears and moose.
