Here is what we have always done and I am not sure why. When we pull into a lot the slides are in and we leave them in as it is easier to set up with them in. The last thing we do when we leave is to pull the slides in as again it is easier to tear down with the slides in. IMO I do not think it makes any difference but this is what we do.
