Cleared to go, almost.

We have been planning all fall on leaving the kool rainey NW on or about the 1st of Dec. Destination - WARM SUNSHINE. About a week ago we decided on the 2nd as pull out day. The Doc gave me an AOK on my physical to take off south.

Some time ago I posted that the best way to winterize your rig is to head south. No need for pink stuff. We normally do not get a good freeze till later. Well, several weeks ago we had a cold snap and had to put pink in. Then yep it warmed up and rained big time with great wind. Trees down everywhere. Lost power in stick house. After a couple of days wanted a shower, so unwinterize Monty. Heat water, later on the way out to turn on the furnace on comes the power in the house. Oh well it won't get cold again before we leave. Start packing stuff. Sat. night is snowed a little. Sunday AM back in goes pink. Snowed like he-- all day and half the night. It is now 20 degrees with no good news on when we can get out of here. Moral of story is do not tell anyone how to winterize. It may be the middle of next week before the sunshine hunt starts.

Looking forward to greeting old friends and meeting new ones.

See ya in the sunshine.
