If it is a molded cover connector there is not much you can do other than tape. There are some special tapes other than standard electrical tape that I think are stronger and bind to themselves. But I have never used any of them. Otherwise it is cut off the connector and put a new one on. But I don’t know that any of those type are waterproof.
