We have a quartz heater and two generic electric heaters from Walmart. They all work fine. We prefer heaters with a fan for heat projection.
As steves said, just make sure the furnace runs enough to pump heat into the belly to keep your tanks and lines from freezing (if in hard freeze temperatures).
