We sort of got used to surprises during our full time traveling years. For most of the time we just meandered along and enjoyed our freedom from working and providing. On this occasion we were heading west. We had decided to get off I-20 just short of the MS state line and venture across the MS heartlands to the scenic US-61.
While traveling on MS-16 we spotted a billboard advertising the Pearl River Resorts & Casinos. We had no idea the Choctaw Indians had casinos. A few more miles down the road another billboard advertising the Frog Level RV Park.
We had no reservations anywhere else so we decided to stop and check it out. The Frog Level had nice sized FHU 50 AMP sites with CATV. It was about 3 miles from the casino complex right on MS-16 and the casino had a no charge van service to & from the RV Park to the casinos. All we had to do was call old – Johnny on the spot, we called him – and he would arrive and take us to the casino complex.
We spent three nights there and have been back several times because a retired friend of ours took a job at the Silver Moon as a pit boss.
