Wow is this a common subject! Mattresses in most rv's are nothing to brag about. We replaced ours in both of our Monte's within about the same time you are doing it. We first went with a well known brand of mattress used in houses but didn't care for that either. We have now gone to a Sleep Number queen mattress and cut down the support board on the bed. We will not go back to a standard mattress or any foam pad. We do have to watch when increasing in altitude when traveling but that is no problem we just let some air out of the Sleep Number and when we get to our destination we just increase the air to where it is comfortable for us again. Sleep like babies!
