I also had Reese 15K slider hitch but after 11 years it froze and would not slide to put the hitch in maneuver position so replaced it with a Pullrite Superglide hitch

2. Remove the grease. The plate and it's moving parts should be lubricated with a light lubricant such as WD-40 or 3-in-1 oil, before each trip or as needed. I used WD-40 on mine.

3. You can find the correct capture plate if you know your king pin box manufacturer and model OR measure dimensions A, B and C per the links below.
