A problem such as this has many possible causes. I had water coming in on both sided of the bed during heavy rain. It's not nice to get up in the middle of the night and step on a soggy carpet. Turns out that at the bottom edge of the slide there is a strip of metal angle iron (aluminum) that was not caulked. Rain water was coming off the roof, running down the side of the slide and into the space between the metal and the fiberglass. Dried everything out very carefully and caulked the angle iron strip and no more wet carpet.
