Everyone loves to have a sharp knife, when we sharpen a kitchen knife and throw it in the drawer, they bang around against each other and get dull. The knife holders that are made from wood are very germ-ridden, wouldn't recommend them unless you wash the knife every time you use it.
I sharpen them with a good Arkansas stone, then keep them in a clean knife sheath I make from a manila file folder.
