That is a mystery. Mine will not come on at all with the switch but comes on with a group.. In the main panel of switches I do have a dedicated switch labeled ‘cap light’. My unit is not at home but a friend can get in this week for a picture. Sadly we cannot make the rally this year. Let us know what the fix is.
