PJ, that's what I like to see when planning trips. Whenever possible I like to take a different route each time. Doing so without adding a lot of mileage is a good thing.
Judy, as usual we'll avoid interstates unless weather dictates otherwise. My "most desired" route when we leave here covers about 1900 miles, in which only about 50 of the first 1600 miles will be interstate. The last 300 will be interstate because we'll be time-constrained that particular day. As previously noted in an email, watch for us on that 50 mile or so stretch of I-10.
