I've never heard it make any noise, but I haven't been in any real gusty winds either. Stayed last night in TonTow, there was absolutely no smell at any time.
Red3171, that thingy looks so similar, my bet would be that they work the same, but the cost seems to high. I am real pleased with the one I purchased at CW.
I keep those grey tanks closed until ready to dump. At first, I had them open and I too noticed some smell, but as long as the tanks are closed up and there is water in the traps, I can't smell anything.
This 360 vent is probably the best add-on investment I've made, if something changes on the grey water, I'll buy another one for that vent.
