We just got the microwave back from the shop. The turn table motor had failed because of a cup of coffee that was left inside before we hit the road, turned over and spilled. The bad news for you is I know there is not an interlock as both the 1/2 time and convection part would work without the turn table rotating, at least it did on ours.
