Then what, sit at home all day? My son is handicapped (Downs Syndrome) and do you know what is most important to him? Not SSI, not his small paychecks from work that are subtracted from his SSI. It is that plaque that he brings home every year thanking him for his years of service to his employer. "Responsibility" does not mean paying them off to stay away from society.
