I have mixed feelings about Wal-Mart - They are a low cost leader and very handy to find most things in one location. We have used their lot on one occasion, just because it was on our "bucket list" of things to do. I think it is great they for the most part offer the free park service. And yes, one has a tendency to spend past the cost of an rv park when you visit the store, but we usually buy stuff we would have bought anyway.

I go out of my way to first select American made - or at least non Chinese made - goods when shopping anywhere - very difficult anymore no matter where you shop.

Sam Walton had a great idea that for the most part has been good - I suspect we will continue a pilgramage there regularly. We still use the local vendors for most of our food stuffs - I won't buy imported for that stuff - too many risks. Our local vendors stay alive just because most folks feel that way. But, I do miss the now gone hardware and grocery stores we used to have in abundance.
