I've had the srw ram 2500 and now the 3500 drw. I couldn't tell the difference in stability in the srw and drw. I did have a lighter 5th wheel with the srw by about 2.000 pounds. With the srw you have much more weight on the tire so as to hold it on the road probably almost as good as the drw.My only purpose of the drw is my rig has gcw of 26,200 pounds which is way to much for any srw whether srw 2500 or srw 3500.My pin weight now is 3480 pounds not including the nearly 300 pounds of hennsley air bag hitch.
