Our previous 5vr was a 1998 31' Cardinal that weighed in at about 12000#. Our mpg while towing was around 10.5. In Nov 05 we purchased an 06 3400RL. Since that time, we have averaged closer to 12 mpg - quite a surprise to us since the Monty is longer and heavier. I attribute this increase in mpg to the better aerodynamic design of the front end cap on the Montanas.
