Great Neighbors

Our "home base" is located in the Peoria Illinois area. With 5 grown kids and 10 grandkids in a 150 mile radius we decided most of our summers would be spent here. The last 4 months we were in Mt. Hawley RV Park in Peoria. Good rates, clean, close stores, not bad. Never really got to know many fellow campers. Yesterday we finally got a spot at Carl Spindler RV Park in East Peoria (across Illinois River). Backed in and started setting up and within an hour 5 couple had walked over and introduced themselves! One couple a few sites down have been full timing for 34 years, another couple have been at it for over 10 years. It is amazing to us the difference between these two RV parks. The facilities are about the same but the folks in them are sure different. It sure makes a difference when you have friendly neighbors and they make you feel welcome.
