Colleen mentioned deciding whether to get an ice maker or freezer so I thought that I would tell about the ice maker that we have. We wouldn't have bought it but the dealer gave it to us when we bought the Monty. It is a Magic Chef Counter Top Ice Maker, Model #MCIM30TS. It is supposed to make ice in 7 minutes - well, yes, maybe half a glass full. I usually make a couple of gallon-sized bags full and it takes a couple of hours. We have it in the basement and have found we have to open the doors on both sides to allow air to flow through. It is very hot here in Texas. It has been handy to have as I like a lot of ice. Not sure that I would recommend it at the $399 that are listed for.
