Correct.
I corrected my original post from
"white wire to ground" to
"white wire to NEUTRAL".
It's not a good idea for 120vac to be connected to chassis frame ground. The DC side of your rig uses the frame for ground.
The AC side ground is provided back at the source per code. Same for Neutral.
