Don't know why or even care that some states have restricted towing speeds. I set the tow/haul mode on, engine breaking on and cruise control to 58 - 60 mph and relax. The key word is relax. We all got into RVing to relax, not to see how fast we can get from A to B. Our road trips are a journey not just a destination. Sit back, relax, enjoy the sights and let the "civilians" fly down the road.
