We are in Alaska now and have spent a week in Fairbanks and are in Soldatna for fishing for a month. Unforturnately--the salmon have decided to swim in the Cook Inlet and not up the river yet. I would recommend a 10 day to 2 week stay each in Fairbanks, Valdez, Seward and Kenai Area (more if interested in salmon fishing).
