ClarkandSheila (Welcome to the forum!!) and others,
Another option while you are sitting is to reverse the doors so the catches are on the side where the door opens to instead of closing the doors to the catches. This will prevent from fighting the clips when you are using the closet. We only use the clips when travelling and so far still have the originals intact. This was another great hint obtained from someone on the forum (if I could remember who, I would give them all the credit) that we adopted and it definitely works.
