The cables routed correctly where they didn’t drag on something that ruined them, a gear box strong enough to last, a wall strong enough to take the strain and the pulleys anchored to the wall strong enough it wouldn’t pull loose. This could have been the best most reliable simplest system made. This is the classic KISS solution, keep it simple stupid.
