I only agree with part of that alignment article. What you should shoot for with about any tandem axle trailer is street side + 3/4 degree camber ... curbside + 1/2 degree camber. Both axles 1/16" to 1/8" toe in. I mostly agree with the guys measurement procedure as far as checking the axle's squareness to the frame. I don't see how you can put a piece of angle iron or 2X4 along the outer edge of the tires and get any meaningful result unless your axle's is way off. If you have the correct toe in that a competent shop shoots for, the angle iron would never lay flat along the tires.
