Dave, now you know where the saying Jesus Saves comes from, you didn't but bet you will know. Have a niece that had the same thing and when I asked here about her backup disks (2d page in new machine start up manuel) she gave me a blank look. So I told here to buy a new laptop, I personally can't help but snicker when someone has this problem and has never made the system disks and doesn't do backup.
