John, we bought that hitch and had it installed on our Montana by local machine shop for carrying our two recumbent trikes. The trikes weigh about 35 pounds each and the trike rack weighs about 70 pounds. We must use a 14" extension to get the trike rack back far enough to not bump into the rear cap. We also installed eye hooks on each side-end of the hitch to hook turnbuckles and chain from top of trike rack down to hitch to stop lateral sway. The machine shop owner that installed the hitch said not to carry over 500 pounds on the hitch. If I had it to do over I would have a frame extensions welded onto the bottom of the Montana frame made of tube steel and a cross bar connecting them at the back that would effectively extend the frame length about say 2 feet since we ended up having to have the 14 inch extension anyway, then bolt on the same or similar hitch.
