Wow! Thanks everyone for all the great information! Now I will have to absorb it and see if I can understand it all. I can definitely now see how it would be a much better system. So if for a 8000 lb. rated assembly it cost approx. $3200 for a single assembly, it would cost approx. $6400 for the two assemblies to complete the job - correct?
This now begs the question, is this upgrade something that those of us who are not full timers and probably put at the most - 3-5k miles a year traveling to invest into? I realize this is a personal question, but isn't the standard equipment sufficient for most of us? I guess when it comes right down to it, it is just personal preference and how we want to spend our money. I haven't heard of any failures of the standard equipment other than the one post just recently or are their many that aren't reported?
