A while ago I talked to the nice lady at Mid-West Supply who fields questions on Appolos. I was trying find out what, if anything, I could do to avoid the kind of failures that were common at that time with Appolos. One thing she said was that it is important to have a good power supply that will supply the required voltage. She maintained that one reason people were having problems was because some campgrounds had inadequate power (low voltage I suppose). As I said, this is what she told me, I'm passing it for what its worth (don't shoot the messenger).

We have often run our Appolo from our 4000 watt generator, but that has a large margin of power capacity.

(Generator ratings often are based on peak load, what can yours run as a continuous load? We have a friend with a 2000k, and he had trouble running the water pump in his stick house, perhaps the k series don't have the continuous power rating that the i series do.)
