I was one of the very few dieselguy referenced. Pulled into a rest area and during my walk around noticed the spare had dropped about 4 inches. Cranked it back up and it held until we got home. Had previously seen several comments on this forum about the spare dropping. Decided to apply the cheap insurance. Crawling under isn't a big deal because on my older model I have to crawl under to retrieve the spare anyway.
