I agree with Mikendebbie (above) as that would be your first line of defense against this problem. I'm a firm believer in attempting to fix things myself. If I can, I've saved some money. If I end up screwing it up even more, I've not lost anything either as now it's time to call in reinforcements. (and up the price).

Removing the door and attempting to reshape the hinge is exactly what I'd attempt first. Those doors do come off pretty easy. If you are not successful, then go to step 2. Order a new hinge (or door) and replace it yourself. It's not difficult at all to replace or fix one. It just takes a little patience. And I agree, $1000 is absolutely insane!
