yep I have had the Fabric rip as well one time when i was putting everything back together I just used Fabric glue to reattach it back on the slats that slide into the metal bars and for cleaning One time I spilled a cup of coffee off the little table between recliners and it sparyed all over the Shades and I used spot shot to remove the stains
