In the two places we stay the longest (Illinois 4 months - Florida 5 months) I utilize a 4'x 4' custom deck with stairs so the factory steps don't get used except for 3 or 4 months traveling. We have thought they were a little weak so we place support under the bottom when using them. After reading these posts though it may be a good preventive maintenance measure to replace any rivets with high grade bolts.
Good idea, but why? (in reference to the bolts) Keystone will replace them with a new design made by Lippert. They are much much sturdier. The couple of people that have had them replaced all agree.
Keystone replaced the steps or provided bolts? Interested in this since I have not pursued a warranty claim on this, but it is under consideration and I only have a couple of weeks to decide. Was this the newer four step models?

Bingo
