I would do what we installed for my mother in the shower. It is an ADA compliant commercial suction grab bar. The manufacturer is Seasucker. The suction grab bar is incredible. You could hang off it, and it hasn’t lost suction in 8 months she has been using it. Check it out and consider this as an option.
