Suggest a Forum Search for "mail forwarding services"...lots of info available. We, like many other folks, use Alternative Resources in Sioux Falls. There are others....

Re e-mail, whatever you use at your "stick house" should work fine on the road. Your server is the bigger problem....a lot depends on your connection to the Internet. If you are going to use a "dial up" service, get one with lots of access capability from anywhere in the US. Earthlink, AOL, etc... If you are going to use other connection capabilities (wi-fi, cell phone, satellite, etc, it dosn't seem to matter all that much. Security and spam filtering is an issue, so we still use AOL. Just because we are "used to it", and they have excellent "dial up" access from most anywhere if we can't get wi-fi or cell phone connection.

Hope that helps somewhat...others will be along to expand on those thoughts..Again, the Search function of the Forum yields great amounts of info.
