This is another reason I went with the Better Built Transfer fuel tank with the Combo tool box. Four bolts removed, and the tank is out of the Truck. I have been around heavy equipment, Tractors, Trucks etc. for my entire life. I have never had and issue with rust, I have always installed additional fuel filters as needed. My relations with my GM dealer, I don't have issues. However, do what you think is best for YOU.
